Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now
My name is Macie and I’m currently twenty-one years old from Santa Cruz, CA. I believe learning and reading must go hand-in-hand on a daily basis for my own interests, and it may be the reason why I don’t get out much and am socially awkward. Surprisingly enough, my boyfriend fancies the likes of me.
I enjoy college, biological psychology, medical research, literature, art, philosophy, neuroscience, biological and cultural anthropology, Morrissey, and my pets. If I seem depressed or never happy, it’s because the whole world is corrupt and it’s not changing. It’s because people are mistreated, whether it’s because of their race, sex, gender, religion, life opportunities, law, etc.; not to mention that it’s looked down upon if one does not participate in the norm of consuming toxins in the form of drugs or alcohol to gain acceptance by others or a higher sense of consciousness; and animals are treated as though they’re not sentient living beings that have long been on this planet before homo sapiens and are not dared considered to be placed right up next to our species, but instead so far below us.
I find it difficult to achieve happiness while baring such in mind and when attained, it feels such a terribly selfish act to temporarily set aside those thoughts. I do what I can, for myself and for others.
To put it simply, I’m a nerdy straightedge vegan. Get to know me; I fancy new conversations and friendships.
